Capital One 360 is the largest direct bank in the United States. The goal of this campaign was to capitalize on the excitement of the Winter Olympics in Sochi and to increase customer engagement through social media. These two illustrations were designed to highlight hockey (one of the most popular Olympic sports) and to show the difference between luge and skeleton. The hockey graphic is designed to utilize the white space of the Facebook timeline as an element of the piece itself. This integration creates the effect that the puck is really popping out of the image. The luge/skeleton graphic utilizes a variety of blurs and color treatments to duplicate the speed of the sports.
